The Hawaiian translation for Akua is "divine." The Olukai Akua Sandal features premium full grain Italian leather sandal with hand-sewn toe post and a fully wrapped leather footbed. Additional features include compression molded EVA midsole for comfort and stability, a leather outsole with non marking rubber traction pads for added grip. The Akua leather ages with style and since the Akua is an Italian leather hand stitched sandal the leathers may obtain small light scratches and buff markes over time, if you don't like the worn look, this can be easily polished out with a natural shoe polish and soft cloth.
