Politics and racing collided during the 1958 Cuban Grand Prix. When legendary F1 driver Juan Fangio entered the race, he never imagined he would make history by not competing. To protest the government's controversial sponsorship of the race, Pro-Castro Cuban rebels kidnapped him. Fangio was released unharmed after the race was easily won by Stirling Moss.
